Learning to Breathe

Hello there blog friends!! What have you all been up to these past few months?
Well, I've been really really busy now that I'm back in school. Yes, you read that right! My parents eventually agreed and allowed me to pursue Medicine. Yaay!
Hmm, I'm just dropping by to write this short entry. :)

So, this was the outfit I wore during the feast of our town. The feast is being held on May 2 (yeah, very long overdue post. I know.. ) and it's one of the celebrations wherein I really take time to doll up.

I bought the pieces at The Ramp Crossings last summer. We have this annual shopping trip during the summer solely for the nine-day novena and the feast. (Prolly the last shopping trip we will have for the whole year too. boooo!) It's like tradition. The sandals is from VNC. I just love this shop because they have durable foot wear, reasonable prices and great promos and discounts!

I chose this outfit because the celebration would last until sun down and I thought it's the perfect day-to-night outfit. Don't you think?

Thanks for your time. Toodles!

Begin Again

Hello there blog friends! It's been a very long while since I updated this blog, eh? Well, I've been fashionably lazy lately. hmmm is there such a thing? Haha Anyways, I'm sharing with you an outfit I wore during the feast of our town a month ago. I saw these pieces displayed on a mannequin at the shop and I totally fell in love with it. It shouts my personality and take on style. Simple. Conservative. Chic. Both pieces were bought at Plains&Prints.

For the longest time, I've been searching for the "perfect" basic (white/cream&black) flats. I wanted the simple but a standout kind. And now that search is over. (well, I still lack the black one). I bought this at a shop called Dorothy Perkins for a reasonable price. It was my first time there and they have items that really caught my eye. I will certainly be coming back once my wallet recover from hunger. :))

Now, I leave you with this feel-good song by Colbie Caillat. Thank you for reading! <3

Love in Tagaytay

-A SUPER LATE POST-
Last January, my family and I finally set foot in Tagaytay! My family doesn't really travel much because my parents have a lot of obligations at work and they just can't leave anytime. Anyways, we were there to attend a wedding reception. It was held at Hacienda Isabella which is owned by Kuh Ledesma, a famous singer here in the Philippines. We stayed there for 2 days and a night, and I would like to share with you the outfits I wore then. =D
FIRST DAY
I know animal prints are so in these days, so here's an animal printed top which I paired with a vibrant pink cropped pants. =D
NIGHT OUTFIT
During the reception, I wore this long purple dress. I had this tailored three years ago for my cousin's 18th birthday. I was really amazed that it still fits me! =D
LAST DAY
I wore a cotton candy pink top, which I bought at Glam Zone Boutique (Please check my previous post for the link to their shop). I love pink and brown together so I decided to pair it with a light brown pleated skirt which I bought at Kashieca. And for my foot wear, I wore a dress shoes that would perfectly match my top. =D
You can all find this looks on LOOKBOOK. Just click on the links below. Thanks!
I leave you now with this song I heard during the wedding which instantly became a favorite! Enjoy! And Thank you again for your support!

Boutiques

So here I'm wearing what I believe is a Palazzo Trouser. I bought it at Wearelse, one of the longest running fashion boutique here in Dagupan. I paired it with a plain white tee, because I don't want to steal the thunder of the trousers! Haha I want it to stand out, 'coz it deserves to! It's made of a soft and light floral material. I love it so much because people told me I looked tall in it. For my foot wear, I used a t-strapped heels which I bought for only Php 400.

I've finally watched the movie Patch Adams and it gave me hope to still pursue my dream of becoming a doctor someday. It made me realize that no one is ever too old to study Medicine and that dreams really do come true if you strive for it. Anyways, here I'm wearing a peter pan collared top which I bought at Glam Zone, a new fashion boutique here also in Dagupan and is owned by a relative.I love collared tops so this is surely a favorite.

These boutiques are also open for online shoppers. Here are the links;

Set Fire to the Rain

Hello there blog friends!! Wow! It's been almost a month since I last posted, my apology. Well, I wanted to accomplish so many things before the year ended so it took much of my time. To mention a few, I wanted to learn how to play the piano, finish reading my books, and learn how to drive. And as far as my list and I are concerned, I think I did well. =D

So here I share with you a cute-meets-chic outfit. My mother has been a Sanrio collector, so I've grew up with Hello Kitty and Little Twin Stars surrounding me and I was fond of them too. And most of the time you bring with you things from childhood that you just can't let go - just like my love for Hello Kitty. :D

I bought the top at 168 for P200 only, I also have it in black. :) The shoes is from Crocs. I love love it so much because it makes me feel tall without the pain I get from heels or wedges! :) I think every woman should have a pair.

Rumor Has It

Hello my dear blog friends! What's up? Time to update my blog! teehee :)
This look is inspired by Blair Waldorf of Gossip Girl. She's the type who doesn't show a lot of skin but still looks sexy. She doesn't try hard to look pretty and alluring but she always does. She's very classy that's why I love her!
I got this dress at 168. It's by Divisoria, a place where you find stuff at a very low price. I bought it at P700 only. Imagine that?! It's really a big steal for me. The shoes on the other hand, I bought at SM Department store, also for P700. I've always wanted one of this and lucky me I've found a good pair. :)
Dress - Thrifted
Shoes - Parisian (SM Dept Store)
Watch - Tomato

Until my next post! Thanks again for reading and for the support blog friends! :) I leave you with this beautiful song by Adele. Enjoy!

Just Married. Love Love Love.

Hello blog friends! Time really goes by so fast. One of my closest cousin, Ate Hazel, just got married on Sunday (November 27, 2011) to her hubby Kuya Kelvin Parkhurst. (Welcome to the family!) The ceremony was very solemn and emotional. It was magical.

Anyways, I will be sharing with you guys what I wore that life changing day. :)
I always have my dresses tailor-made, but this time I wore something ready made already. I bought it at Landmark in Manila. They have really good stuff there.
oh, my mother did my curls! She always do my hair whenever there's an occasion. It saves us a trip to the salon. And my grandmother offered to do my makeup. I liked it because it was simple. So,what do you think?
That's me heading to the altar before the wedding started. I was the "musical director". Haha! "Only Time" by Enya was playing while the principal sponsors and entourage walked down the aisle. I sang "A Thousand Years" when my cousin walked down the aisle, which I ruined because I cried upon seeing the lovely bride. And "Two Words" a personal favorite by Lea Salonga was playing in the background while exchanging of vows.
ooh if you notice, I paired my purple dress with a pink clutch bag. Got to love colors!
And here is the lovely couple Mr and Mrs Kelvin and Hazel Parkhurst! :) I wish them eternal love, respect and trust to one another! I'm genuinely happy for them both!

That's all for now guys! Thanks to all my readers/followers for the support! Till my next post. :)

Nanay's 78th Birthday Party

Hello blog friends! It's been a week since my grandmother's birthday and I can still feel the stress it gave us. Her annual celebration is always divided into three parts because of how many her guests are. First part is in the morning, where her fellow church goers and neighbors get to attend. Second, the faculty members of Mother Lourdes Learning School and PhilCST take their turn during lunch. And third, close friends and family gathering for dinner and finale. I will be sharing more details and photos on my other blog In My Shoes when I have them time. Please check it out some time too!

Anyhoo, I will be sharing with you photos of what I wore that day.
This was my daytime outfit. I bought it at a Department Store for a reasonable price. It has the perfect shade of violet, which is the ultimate favorite color of my grandmother. I love how it fits me perfectly and the abstract/tribal feel print lovely too. Don't you think?
And here now is my evening outfit. If you have been reading/following my blog, you can see that I love to mix and match colors. I think it's the boldest step I made, fashion speaking of course. It's the first time I wore a square pants. I saw Laureen Uy, the writer/owner of the blog Break My Style during one of her scenes in a television show wearing similar pants and decided to try it. I hope I wore it as good as she did. Anyways, I recommend you to check out her blog! :)

You can also check these outfits on Lookbook. Thanks very much!

PS. I sang during the party. I also want to share the video of my song. Pump it up! Hope you all like it! :)

Graduation Day

Hello blog friends! What's going on with you right now? Well, it's one day before my grandmother's 78th birthday so everyone's busy now. But I'm going to squeeze some time for this blog post. :)
Here, I'm wearing a purple dress which I wore during my graduation. I wanted a plum dress, a little darker than this one, but I haven't found one so this is the closest I can get to plum.
I like this shot. It's very candid. :)
I was late for my capping and hooding ceremony so I just had my hair blow dried. I also did my make up myself just a touch of color. I'm not a skilled makeup artist.
I love the dress having a flowy look - makes me feel like a princess. I also love the floral detail. I think it gives the impression of a girl blooming to a lady. :)
I bought the dress in SM Department Store and my shoes in VNC. :D

Thanks for reading guys!<3
PS. For more info/deatils and photos  on my graduation day give my other blog a visit. In My Shoes.

Words Can't Bring Me Down

Hello blog friends! =D This has been in my drafts for a long time now. I just want to share another outfit I wore during the first day of November. :D If you have been visiting my blog, you know that I already have a post about my outfit during that day (One of Those Days). For your information, this was my morning outfit. =D
I love this top because in spite of it's sleeveless cut it's not really that revealing and it passed the conservative standard of my father too! :D That's why I bought the same piece but in a mustard color.
I know. I know. I'm fat! Haha But I'm okay with it. Everyone's beautiful. Agree? =D
Top - SM Dept Store
Cropped Pants - Kashieca
Here's a beautiful song for all my beautiful blog readers!<3 Thanks for the support!

Lovely Tonight

Hello blogworld! =D
I want to share this outfit I wore to work one time. I feel very girly that day so I decided to wear a skirt. :D It's one of my fave skirts actually. It has a polka dot pattern. <3
My sister had this chunky pink necklace for quite sometime now. I found it kept in a drawer when I decluttered our room. I really didn't like it at first until I saw Blake Lively wearing chunky pieces in Gossip Girl. Thanks to her this necklace won't be sitting inside a drawer anymore. =D
Here's a photo of Blake Lively, as Serena of Gossip Girl, wearing one of her chunky necklaces. :D
Turquoise Top - Kamiseta
Brown Polka dotted Skirt - Kashieca
Potato Flats - SO Fab
Watch - Kenneth Cole

One of Those Days

Here's what I wore during the first day of November! :)
This is my first time to wear a long skirt. I saw my elder sister wearing one during our last visit to her and I liked it. So I bought a similar one on that same day. :)
I love love my yellow basic tee a lot! Yellow is the new white! It totally goes with any color, don't you think?
Then again I wore a belt for that slim look. :) I want to say thank you to my brother Joseph for lending me his orange watch. :) I like to see women wearing men's watch. Have you read Nina Garcia's "The Little Black Book of Style"? Well if you did, you definitely know that a man's watch looks sexy on a woman's wrist! :D
Yellow Tee - Giordano
Orange Striped Long Skirt - SM Dept Store (the belt comes with it)
Sandals - Fitflops

No Envy, No Fear

Hello dear blogfriends! :D
I've read that wearing big belts can make you look like you have a small waist, which I obviously don't have. So I tried it. And what do you guys think? :D Did it do the trick?
I wore this outfit during our first day in Manila when we went there for my oath taking. I had already posted my outfit on the second day on my previous post. :D I totally forgot about the first one. Haha!
Before we left the house, I got reprimanded by my father because he thinks my skirt is so short. And so far it's the shortest item I got in my wardrobe. :D Living with a conservative father and brothers can have it's downside for some, even most, but I like them just the way they are because it's one of the things they do that makes me feel loved and cared about. :D
This post is entitled No Envy No Fear because it's one of the many songs I love. It's by Joshua Radin. And I really think that each one of us should have no envy and no fear in our hearts. It's a key to happiness. :D
Here it is! Enjoy! :D

PS. You can find my outfit in Lookbook too! :D

Brighter Than the Sun

One sunny day in Manila. This was taken a couple of hours before I get ready for my oath taking.
You could check out my journal blog - In My Shoes to know more about this day. :) I wrote the whole thing out in that post. :)
This was after the ceremony. And as you can see I'm wearing fitflops already. This item is a life-saver! I recommend buy something that you think will last and that is very comfortable. The design for me just go second when it comes to this thing. Heels and other shoes are another. :D
Shirt - Kamiseta
Pants - Tomato
Ankle Brougues - Janylin

You could find this too in Lookbook! I'd greatly appreciate a visit. :) Thanks!

Hello! I'm working already and I want to share with you what I wore on my first day. c:

I always pair my printed items with my plain ones. I like my outfit as simple as possible but remain the chicness of it. :D
As you can see at my back, our Christmas Tree is now set up. Yes, we doll up the house and fill it with purple Christmas decors as early as the Ber-months strike in. :D
Top - Tomato
Pants - Plains&Prints
Flats - S.O. Fab

You can also find this in Lookbook. Hype if you like. :D Thanks very much! c:
